Caro Geelen is an author who was once told by her teacher that she needed to work harder to live up to her potential. She agreed, but it wasn’t in the subject that she was studying. Instead, she spent all her time at school writing stories in the margins of her mathematics and science books, although she did pay some attention during english and classics (enough to make her a tough pub quiz competitor).
She finished her first novel at age eighteen while supposedly studying for her latin exam at university. She has a degree in english and anthropology which is why she works in websites. Whenever she can get half an hour free you can find her on her laptop writing books (she tried short stories but her friends all told her they sounded like the first chapters of epic novels).
When she isn’t on her laptop she carries around notebooks to scribble down characters, scenes and lists, and currently has about twenty books on the go in varying stages of completion or draftage. She lives in New Zealand with her husband and two kids and her favourite food is bacon pancakes.
